BPL interference evaluation tool

BPL interference evaluation tool usage notes

Title

Receiving antenna

Frequency (MHz) (0.15-1000)
Rx antenna gain (dBi)
Rx bandwidth (Hz)
Rx noise figure (dB)
Rx IMD (dB)
Antenna distance from source (metres)

Dipole on 3.6MHz with 2dBi gain at 20 metres from powerlines.
Yagi on 14.2MHz with 12dBi gain at 10 metres from powerlines.
Yagi on 50.1MHz with 16dBi gain at 5 metres from powerlines.
Marine 27MHz Limited Coast Station: GME GX294 with vertical half wave dipole 20 metres from powerlines.

This calculator calculates the intensity of the maximum signal permitted by the proposed CENELEC regulatory requirements for radiation from a BPL system.
